Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro Are Coming This Fall

Google announced that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is coming this fall. Both phones will feature a brand new chip called the Tensor, Google’s first custom-built SoC for Pixel phones. For the past four years, the company has worked on the custom silicon chip with a focus on improving machine learning performance. They’re also bringing back a real earpiece speaker.
AI is the future of our innovation work, but the problem is we’ve run into computing limitations that prevented us from fully pursuing our mission. So we set about building a technology platform built for mobile that enabled us to bring our most innovative AI and machine learning (ML) to our Pixel users. We set out to make our own System on a Chip (SoC) to power Pixel 6. And now, years later, it’s almost here.

What does the chip do? It improves existing computational photography-backed capabilities. Plus it also enhances speech recognition with real-time translation and voice typing. What’s more, is a new security core and a Titan M2 chip for lots of hardware security. You can bet this phone will have the most money spent on its marketing. Aesthetically, we’re looking at a revamped industrial design with an upgraded rea camera system that includes 4x telephoto on the Pro models. HDR gets applied to each video frame, a leading-edge over Apple.
Pixel Specs:
90Hz 6.4-inch FHD+ display
In-display fingerprint sensor
Matte aluminum finish for side rails
Wide-angle main sensor and ultrawide on the back
Available in three colors
For Pro:
6.7-inch perimeter curved, QHD+ display
120Hz refresh rate with light polished aluminum frame/sides

More details on battery size and sensor details are to be announced, so stay tuned.
